Notes
Gemini CLI stores its state under %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\ (override: GEMINI_CLI_HOME). The root, projects.json, tmp\<slug>\.project_root
and history\<slug>\ were confirmed on Windows Server 2025 with Gemini CLI 0.58.0. Chat logs are written as
tmp\<project>\chats\session-<YYYY-MM-DDTHH-MM>-<first 8 of sessionId>.jsonl (first line is session metadata, then one JSON
record per message including tool calls). Older builds wrote a single session-*.json object and named the project folder
by sha256 of its path; both patterns are covered by the recursive tmp\ entry.
Deliberately not collected: oauth_creds.json, mcp-oauth-tokens.json, a2a-oauth-tokens.json and .env (credentials),
cli-browser-profile\ (Chrome profile for the browser agent, large).
